Michael Ross is a full time I.T. Executive with over 30 years experience in the Information Technology arena across a wide array of industries. He is also a part time photographer, musician, artist, car enthusiast, and woodworker with a LOT of mad scientist thrown into the mix! He resides in Plano (just north of Dallas in the great Republic of Texas!) and has lived in the Dallas area for almost 40 years. He specializes in many areas of photography including the more specialized art form of Light Painting Photography. Michael was introduced to photography as a child by his uncle and has had a camera with him just about all of his life. Michael’s photography is characterized by bright vivid colors and he enjoys macro, nightscapes, and astrophotography as well. Michael has been published in several photo and technical magazines and journals in the United States and other countries as well. He is a pioneer in digital light painting photography and has invented several specialized light tools to create different types of lighting effects and techniques with this highly specialized art form.
In addition to Light painting photography, Michael is also experienced with more traditional forms of photography such as portraits, wedding, macro, and landscape photography and always adds his own creative twist to create something beautiful and unique in even these areas.
